Man held for sexual harassment
A woman resident has alleged that Raveej Ahmed,a resident of Vikas Nagar,Mauli Jagran,had outraged her modesty near her residence by passing lewd comments on her. The accused was arrested by the police.
Woman arrested with 5 grams of smack
UT Police has arrested a woman,resident of the area near the dividing road,Sector38 and 38 West. A recovery of five grams of smack was made from the woman. The woman was arrested on late Friday night and has been booked under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act (NDPS) Act.
Man attacked with rod,robbed
Ranjan,a resident of Hallomajra,has alleged that three unknown persons attacked him with with a rod and robbed one mobile phone and a purse containing cash worth Rs 200 from him. The incident took place near Ram Darbar,Chandigarh when Ranjan was returning home from work. Ranjan was injured and a passerby informed the police who in turn took the injured to th eGovernment Medical College and Hospital (GMCH),Sector 32,Chandigarh.
