The Territorial Army will be holding a three-day recruitment rally of soldiers at Tibri Cantonment (Gurdaspur) from March 2 to 4. The recruitment process will continue from 6 am to 3 pm and cover candidates from Delhi,Chandigarh,Haryana,Punjab,Himachal Pradesh and Jammu Kashmir. While candidates of Punjab and Chandigarh will be recruited on the first day,those from Himachal Pradesh and Jammu Kashmir will be covered on March 3. Similarly,the candidates from Haryana and Delhi will be taken up for recruitment on the March 4. The documentation and medical check-up of the candidates will be done on March 5 and 6. The candidate should be between 18 to 42 years and should weigh up to 50 kilograms with a minimum height of 160 cms. Their chest should be 82 cms (expanded) and 77 cms (unexpanded). Under the soldier category,candidates of Punjab,Haryana,Delhi,Chandigarh,Jammu and Kashmir and Himachal Pradesh (except Kinnaur,Lahaul and Spiti district) should be either matriculates with 45 per cent marks and minimum 32 per cent in each subject or Class XII exam qualified. Applicants can,however,be matriculation pass for Kinnaur district of HP while only Class VIII or middle pass will do for Ladakh region,including Kargil district of Jammu and Kashmir and Lahaul and Spiti of HP. The minimum qualification for the chef community (cook) is matriculation.
