“I am suffering from a frozen shoulder and cannot hold a violin,let alone play it. It feels like I have lost a part of me. I had lived with music for almost 40 years,for 18 hours daily,” says Singh,who has the album Tumse Milkar to his credit,and was the lead violin soloist and music arranger in films like Kaho Na Pyaar Hai,Karan Arjun,Koyla,Taarzan,Vijeta and King Uncle. “I tried farming but I instantly knew that was not for me. I still can’t play the violin,so when my children motivated me to make an album,I grabbed the opportunity,” says Singh,holding the cover of his next album.

Produced by Venus Records,the album comprises seven tracks. Says Singh,“These depict various facets of life. The title track Paisa Paisa talks about our love for money and Chal Mere Bhaiya Gaon Mein asks villagers to stop struggling in cities and go back to their village and make the most of the beautiful life there. The romantic numbers include Dekh Ke Teri Ada,Ek Aag Lage Man Mein and Are Bheega Bheega Yeh Mausam. The song Mahi Meine Tujhe Dil Diya is dedicated to cricketer Mahendra Singh Dhoni.”

The composer has also worked with youngsters for the the album. He shares that the title track Paisa Paisa has been sung by Asmita Garg,a 14-year-old girl from Patiala,who has performed in MH1’s Nikki Awaaz Punjab Di. “The album also introduces other talented singers such as Abhilasha Chellum,Vaibhav Bhatnagar and Keshav Prasad and lyricists Anand Tripathi,Alok Chaudhary and Ninu Attra,” informs Singh,promising that the new release is a perfect blend of western beats and melodious tracks.
