CHANDIGARH: Rahul Bajaj emerged as the winner with a overall score of 286 in the Chandigarh Open Amateur Golf Championship which concluded at Shivalik Golf Club on Friday. Ashbeer Singh Saini claimed the second spot with an overall score of 290 while the third spot was claimed by Saurabh Bahuguna with an overall score of 291 in the championship.

Sandhu emerges winner
CHANDIGARH: Sandeep Sandhu emerged as the winner in the Fourth edition of the Chandigarh Baisakhi Open Golf Tournament held at Chandigarh Golf Club on Friday. SPS Matharoo claimed the second spot while the third spot was claimed by Colonel Bath. As many as 60 golfers took part in the keenly contested event. The golfers were give spot prizes for nearest to the flag and the straightest drive.

Cricket trials tomorrow
CHANDIGARH: Trials will be held on April 18 at 3 pm at Government Model Senior Secondary School,Sector 40,for the selection of the Punjab team for the 9th All India National League Cricket Tournament to be held at Panjim,Goa from May 3 to 6. The tournament will be organised under the Sports Authority of Goa and Goa tourism.

Cricket trials today
PANCHKULA: Satluj Public School,Sector 4,will hold trials on April 17 at 4 pm at the school premises for Satluj Premier League Under-15 Championship. Players born on or after September 1,1995 can take part in the trials. Overall 122 students will be selected and then divided into eight teams to contest in the tournament. Players from any part of the region can take part in the tournament. The league matches will start at the school from April 27 Players should report for the trials along with their original date of birth certificates.
