: Haryana Billiards and Snooker Association will conduct the 23rd Haryana State Junior and Senior Billiards and Snooker Championship at Haryana Billiards,Sector 11,from August 2 to 12. The event will be held in the sub-junior,junior and senior category. The last date for the reception of entries is July 30. Entries can be given at the venue or it can be submitted to Anil Sharma,secretary,at 9888388132. The winners in their respective categories will represent the Haryana state in Nationals to be held in September.

Cricket tourney from today
CHANDIGARH
: Mohali Cricket Academy will take on APJ Kharar in the opening match of the second edition of Sardar Amar Singh Memorial Under-13 Cricket Tournament at MCA grounds,Mohali,on Saturday. As many as eight top teams are taking part in the tournament that will be played at MCA grounds,Government Model School,Sector 26 and Guru Nanak Public School ground,Sector 36. The teams have been divided into two pools. Pool A comprises of Mohali Cricket Academy,APJ Kharar,Sector 26 Academy and Shri Shri Academy of Panchkula while GNPS-36,Mohali Cricket Academy ‘B’,Yadvindra Public School Academy and MCM Blue Caps have been put into Pool B. Players born on or after September 1,1996 are eligible to take part in the tournament.

Fixtures: Pool A: July 25: MCA vs APJ Kharar at MCA ground,July 26: Sector 26 Academy vs Shri Shri Academy at GMS-26,July 27: MCA Academy vs Shri Shri Academy at MCA ground; APJ Kharar vs Sector 26 Academyat GMSS-26,July 28: MCA vs Sector 26 Academy at MCA ground and APJ Kharar vs Shri Shri Academy at GMSS-26; Pool B: July 26: GNPS-36 vs MCM Blue Caps at GNPS-36; MCA B vs YPS Academy at MCA ground,July 27: GNPS-26 vs YPS Academy at GNPS-36,July 28: MCA B vs MCM Blue Caps at GNPS-36,July 29: GNPS-36 vs MCA B at GMPS-36 and YPS Academy vs MCM Blue Caps at MCA Ground.

DPS lifts title for the fourth time
PANCHKULA
: Delhi Public School defeated St Vivekanand 2-0 in the final to win the Panchkula Inter-School District Football Tournament for the fourth time in succession at Sports Complex,Sector 3,on Friday. Samson Masih,principal,DPS,informed that eight players of the team have been selected to play at the State level. The players are Ashish Rathor (goal-keeper),Aakash Pratap Singh (captain),Shubhankar Singh,Suyog Saxena,Pankaj Ahuja,Bhawesh Tewari,Harshal Jariyal,Kashish Kumar and Qaji Muhajib Anshul Rangasia.

Blood donation camp at CLTA today
The Rotary and Blood Bank Society Resource Centre (RBBSRC) will organise a blood donation camp,in association with the Chandigarh Lawn Tennis Association,at the CLTA Complex,Sector 10,on July 25 from 9.30 am to 1 pm. A large number of blood donnors,including sportspersons,are expected to take part in the noble cause.
