Sonepat murders: Neighbour killed trio,was in debt

Haryana police has arrested two people in connection to the brutal triple murder which rocked Sonepat on Friday morning. Three of a family including Sanjay Gupta,his wife Sunita,and daughter Archana,were brutally murdered at their residence.

Among those arrested include Sunil and Lalit. While Sunil is Sanjay’s next door neighbour,Lalit is Sunil’s friend. According to the police,Sanjay Gupta was murdered because he was troubling and pressurising Sunil to pay back the loan taken from him a few months ago. Sunil runs a sweet-shop in Bandepur and had to payback a sum of around Rs 20,000 to Sanjay.

“Sunil hatched a conspiracy to kill Sanjay on Wednesday. He discussed it with his friend Lalit,who also agreed to help him in the crime. ,” DSP Surinder Malik said.
