A brilliant all-round performance from Aayush Sikka (57 runs and 3 for 17) helped Delhi Public School beat Shivalik Public School by 67 runs and enter the semi-finals of the Second Hot Weather cricket tournament for Under-14 being organised by Professional Cricket Club,on Saturday. Delhi Public School batted first and posted 157 for 5 in stipulated 20 overs. Sikka blasted 57 off 51 deliveries while Vaibhav chipped in with quickfire 42 off 28 balls. Chasing the target,Shivalik were all out for 90 runs. Jaspreet top scored for the team with 42 runs that he managed off 28 deliveries. Sikka and Arjun took three wickets each for the winning team. In another match,APJ Kharar defeated Millennium Academy by 85 runs in a lop-sided encounter. Batting first,APJ posted a mammoth total of 209 for 4 in 20 overs. Manbir (69 off 35 balls) and Harvesh (62 off 42 deliveries) decimated the opposition bowling attack and helped the team post a huge total. In reply,Millennium were restricted to 124 for 6 in 20 overs. Angadvir scored 32 runs. Gurjot and Mansimran bagged two wickets each as APJ entered the last four stage.
