Address a press conference on Friday, chief commissioner, gurdwara elections,Justice H S Brar said,Sometime back, both governments of Punjab and Haryana had requested that the electoral roll making process could be delayed as the officials who have to make these electoral rolls are busy in flood relief measures due to the recent floods in both the states.
As Ropar,Fategarh Sahib,Ludhiana and Ferozepur districts in Punjab and Ambala,Kurukshetra,Sirs and Fetehabad districts in Haryana were effected by the floods and the patwaris in these districts are bow busy in flood relief and measures and so they cannot concentrate in electoral roll making process, he said.
