The countdown to 2013s Skoda Prize has begun.

The countdown to 2013s Skoda Prize has begun. The jury for the countrys biggest contemporary art award was recently announced. Chaired by prominent art historian and critic Geeta Kapur,the jury will also comprise Anupam Poddar,co-founder of Devi Art Foundation,and leading Indian artist Sheela Gowda.

Entries have been officially opened this week,while the last day for making submissions is August 31. Potential nominees need to be below the age of 45 and have to have had a solo show in the last 12 months. The Skoda Prize includes a cash award of Rs 10 lakh and various other honours.

Love Debate

It could well be the topic for a declamation contest. In its new show Love Marriage Ya Arrange Marriage,Sony Entertainment Television is approaching the topic of love marriage versus arranged marriage through the story of two best friends. To seek opinion and generate interest about the new show,the entire star cast arrived at DT Mall on Tuesday afternoon.

Produced by Sphere Origins Multivision and written by acclaimed Bollywood writer Kamlesh Pandey,the show traces the journey of two friends who are diametrically opposite in their beliefs about marriage,yet share the same desire to have a happy and content marriage. I play the character of Mansi who will marry whoever her parents choose for her and Shivani is played by Rishika Mihani, said the newcomer Samaira Rao. Actors Ashish Kapoor and Himanshu Malhotra accompanied the two on their Chandigarh visit. The show airs from August 6.
