Raghav spins Little Flower to thrilling win

Led by Raghav Goyal's brilliant five-wicket haul,Little Flower Cricket Academy recorded a narrow one-run win over Chandigarh Baptist Cricket Academy in the inaugural match of the First Kaushalya Devi Memorial Inter Academy under-14 League Cricket Championship organised by Hansraj Cricket Academy,Sector 6,on Monday.

Led by Raghav Goyal’s brilliant five-wicket haul,Little Flower Cricket Academy recorded a narrow one-run win over Chandigarh Baptist Cricket Academy in the inaugural match of the First Kaushalya Devi Memorial Inter Academy under-14 League Cricket Championship organised by Hansraj Cricket Academy,Sector 6,on Monday.

Batting first,Little Flower Academy posted a total of 95 runs in 24.4 overs. The Little Flower opening batsman, Sagar Sachdeva,played a sensible innings of 29 runs. Meanwhile,Gagan Deep (2 for 10) and Chetanjeet Singh (2 for 5) bowled well to restrict the opposition team.

It was a difficult target to achieve,but Raghav Goyal of Little Flower Academy bowled some accurate offies to castle five wickets,giving away 20 runs. Chandigarh Baptist Academy were crusing through towards victory but somehow could not capitalise in the last over when the pressure mounted on them. Eventually,they were skittled out for 94 runs. Later,Raghav Goyal was declared man of the match for his splendid bowling spell.
