Punjabi singers Randhawa brothers booked for ‘firing’ and ‘assault’

Pratap immediately informed the police control room (PCR). By the time the PCR team reached the scene, the Randhawa brothers had already fled. Police later admitted him to Civil Hospital, Phase 6, while both singer brothers were also reportedly hospitalised.

The complainant alleged that the incident began when his car was hit from behind by a BMW carrying the singer brothers and three to four women, all allegedly under the influence of alcohol. “When my wife tried to intervene, they tore her clothes. During the scuffle, I was hit in the eye,” he said.

Eyewitnesses reportedly intervened and started beating the singers, prompting Rummy to rush to his car and retrieve a licensed pistol. He allegedly fired twice, once in the air and once towards the property dealer.

The complainant further claimed that the bullet may have injured someone in the crowd, though police have not confirmed this.

“The complainant’s statement was recorded late in the evening as he was hospitalised. Preliminary investigation confirms that shots were fired at the scene. An FIR is being registered under appropriate sections based on the evidence,” Pariwinkle Grewal, SHO, Phase 11 police station, said.

The Randhawa brothers earlier grabbed the spotlight following a public feud with singer Elly Mangat.
