Panjab University has declared the counselling and the interview schedule for admission to MSc (Hons) Biochemistry in the Department of Biochemistry on Wednesday

Panjab University has declared the counselling and the interview schedule for admission to MSc (Hons) Biochemistry in the Department of Biochemistry on Wednesday.

The from 2.30 pm onwards in the Department of Biochemistry. According to the authorities,the attendance of applicants is compulsory at the time of counselling. The candidates have also been asked to bring all the original certificates and d\ocuments at the time of interview/ counselling.

The discipline of biochemistry occupies a pivotal position in teaching and research of all biological and bio-medical sciences. It also holds an important value in the field of agriculture,pharmaceutical and environmental sciences. Recent advances in biotechnology and its industrial applications have been possible only due to a thorough understanding of the underlying principles of the subject.

Over the years,the department has been producing students with sound background of theoretical and experimental biochemistry. After getting a postgraduate degree from the department,the students get absorbed in various government and private sector enterprises. In view of the advances made by biochemistry in clinical diagnostics,the course is also considered to have very good scope for self-employment.
