It was Simar who overpowered Sauna 6-0,6-0 and combined well with with Neha to pip Noor and Sauna 6-1,6-0. Though,Neha lost to Noor Paul 4-6,2-6. In another team event,DAV College,Chandigarh whitewashed PG GCG Sector 11,Chandigarh 2-0. Prabhamrit beat Mehak 6-0,6-0 similarly Ankita defeated Bhavya 6-0,6-0.
Gurusar college wins
GHG Khalsa College,Gurusar Sadhar thrashed SGGS College,Chandigarh 4-0 in the Panjab University Inter College Football (Men)A-Division tournament being played at PU grounds,Chandigarh on league basis on Wednesday. For the winning team,Hardeep scored the first goal in 35th min,Arjuncame up with another goal in 60th min. Prabhdeep and Jaspal scored a goal each in 69th min and 87th min.In another match,SGGS Khalsa College,Mahilpur blanked PU Campus,Chandigarh 6-0.
GGS College spikers shine
GGS College for Women,Chandigarh whitewashed Dasmesh Girls College,Badal 3-0(25-19,25-21,25-19) in the Inter-college volleyball (women) A-Divisiontournament at PU grounds,Chandigarh on league basis. GGS College for Women,Chandigarh got the better of Guru Nanak Girls College,Muktsar 3-0 (25-8,25-9,25-12). Dasmesh Girls College,Badal drubbed Khalsa College for Women,Ludhiana 3-1 and Khalsa College for Women,Ludhiana beatGuru Nanak Girls College,Muktsar 3-0.
