NSUI leaders meet Virbhadra Singh

They also extended an invitation to the Chief Minister to visit PU early in January/February next year.

Senior leaders of National Students’ Union of India (NSUI) at Panjab University met Chief Minister of Himachal Pradesh Virbhadra Singh and HP Youth Congress president Vikramaditya Singh in Hamirpur Saturday.

Former president of the Panjab University Campus Students’ Council (PUCSC) Chandan Rana along with general secretary of NSUI, HP, Manoj Lubana, and senior party leader Sunny Mehta met the Chief Minister and apprised him of issues concerning the students from HP, who are studying at Panjab University (PU). They also extended an invitation to the Chief Minister to visit PU early in January/February next year.

“We also discussed the involvement of HP students in the students’ council elections next year,” said Manoj Lubana.
NSUI, which had swept the PU student elections for the last two years, failed to win in this year’s elections, with the SOI-led alliance sweeping the polls.

Members of NSUI have, however, said that the party is in the process of ensuring a win in next year’s elections at Panjab University.
