Haryana Pradesh Chamar Sangharsh Samiti today demanded the inclusion of all deserving poor people in the BPL list.
Addressing a press conference here,Gaje Singh Muwal,president of the Chamar Sangharsh Samiti,said the BPL list must be revised in the state by the next government to include those who had been left out for some reason or the other.
He said the next government in the state should grant old age pension to the entitled eligible persons. He charged the Haryana government of having failed to implement the 85th Amendment properly. The number of people from the Scheduled Castes and Backward Classes in the 18,000 guest teachers employed by the state government was too few. He demanded proper representation for them. The government had also failed to clear the job backlog for the SCs and BCs in various government departments. The next government should pay attention to this anamoly,said Muwal.
He demanded the grant of old age pension to the entitled eligible persons/widows who have been deprived of it. He also demanded issuance of pink/yellow ration cards to those eligible.
Muwal demanded that at least one university in the state must be named after Guru Ravi Das. He also demanded fee concession for SC/BC people in private and government aided colleges.
