Food Safety Inspector Yogesh Goyal said that the suspicious goods prepared and ordered from other cities have been seized. The samples have been taken and sent to the government laboratory. An appropriate action will be taken against the shopkeeper after reports are out.

The Civil Surgeon has appealed to all the residents of Moga to pay attention to quality while buying sweets and other food items during the festive season. If they suspect any adulteration, they should immediately bring it to the attention of the Food Safety Team or the Health Department directly. He also appealed to the shopkeepers not to play with the health of common people for their profit.
