Mayor inspects Manimajra development work progress

Mayor Ravinder Pal Singh Pali along with members of the city unit of Youth Congress conducted an inspection of Manimajra to see the status of ongoing work. While the Youth Congress members alleged that no work has been undertaken in Manimajra,area councillor Gurcharan Dass Kala of BJP claimed that the work done during his tenure was more than that done during the stint of Congress councillors.

Pali and the Youth Congress activists inspected the bridge near the housing board lightpoint that has not been completed. The construction has been pending for the past few months. Funds were sought for construction of a greenbelt. The problems regarding roads,parks and water supply were discussed.

The members of Youth Congress alleged that development work in Manimajra had suffered and they would now ensure that the problems of the residents are solved. Among those who visited the area was president of the youth Congress Gurpreet Singh Gabi.

Area councillor Gurcharan Dass Kala,agitated over such allegations stated that development of Manimajra has taken place in the past five years. He said that the work on construction of the bridge has stopped due to the contractor leaving it mid-way.
