Man targets wife’s paramour,kills uncle

Ramesh had earlier,according to Chandigarh Police,objected to consumption of liquor by Ravinder Kaur with the duo. Ramesh,who himself returned to the residence in an inebriated condition,had a sharp knife and had come with the idea of killing Balbir.

Presently admitted in Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH-32),Balbir is a distant brother-in-law of Kaur. The Chandigarh Police have registered a case of murder against Ramesh under Section 302 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC).

Dilbag and Balbir were rushed to GMCH-32 in an auto rickshaw. Dilbag was declared dead on arrival.

The family members tried to conceal the attack and initially concocted a story that Dilbag had been assaulted by some unknown assailants in a park. The Chandigarh Police came to know of the murder only after a doctor at GMCH-32 apprised police.

“After checking the park,which had not a single blood stain,we confronted the family members. After investigation we found out that it was Ramesh who had stabbed Dilbag. We have registered a case of murder against Ramesh and taken him in police custody,” said a police officer.

Ramesh Jaiswal is Ravinder’s second husband. Her first husband died two years ago. The couple resides in a PWD quarter,which was allotted to Kaur’s first husband.
