Man held for raping 4-year-old

A 28-year-old man was arrested for allegedly raping a four-year-old girl in Burail on Thursday night.

A 28-year-old man was arrested for allegedly raping a four-year-old girl in Burail on Thursday night.

According to the SHO of Sector 34 police station the matter came to light around 11.30 pm when the victim’s mother found her bleeding on the terrace of her house.

The accused has been identified as Shambhu,a native of West Bengal,who has been living separately from his wife for the last five years.

Police said Shambhu had come to his friend’s house in the neighbourhood for a drink.

He spotted the girl and took her to the terrace and allegedly raped her.

The accused was medically examined and the police took his blood stained clothes.

The victim was taken to Government Medical College and Hospital,Sector 32 and later discharged after treatment.
