The Mohali Police on Wednesday registered a case of attempt to murder against a local youth Akali (rural) president Jaspinder Singh alias Lalli and five others for a firing incident late on Tuesday night that left three people injured. The incident had taken place in Kharar.
According to the police,old rivals Jaspinder Singh and Sukhwinder Singh alias Chhindi,president of the truck union were involved in a clash that resulted in gunshots being fired leaving three injured. The injured have been identified as Jagtar Singh alias Billa hailing from Chhajjumajra,Harjinder Singh resident of Balongi and Rustum. Jagtar Singh who belongs to the Chhindi group alleged that he along with friends were intercepted by a car owned by Jaspinder and his accomplices,who open fired at him. Jagtar Singh sustained injuries. On the basis of his complaint,police have registered a case accusing Jaspinder Singh and five others on charges of attempt to murder.
