With Pollywood — as Punjabi film industry is now being called — going places,all roads are leading to it. The latest to hop on to the bandwagon is K Ganesh from the Tamil film industry. A stuntman turned action director,Ganesh has an experience of two decades in the field. Both his father and grandfather were also stuntmen in Tollywood. Ganesh directed the action sequence for Tamil film Siruthai,which was remade into Rowdy Rathore. In town,he is choreographing action for Punjabi film Yaaran Da Katchup. “The sequences in the film will leave the audience awestruck. For instance,one of the scenes has been performed atop a double decker bus,which is a new thing for Punjabi audiences,” says Ganesh. He adds that while the industry down south relies mostly on action,action scenes are comparatively new to the Punjabi film industry. He says,“I see it growing in Punjab as well.”

Vikram Bansal,producer of Yaaran Da Katchup,says,“Not only the action director but a team of stuntmen has also come along with him from down south. We are spending hugely on the action scenes.”

Directed by Abhay Baiju Chabbra,Yaaran Da Katchup features Mehar Mittal,Jaswinder Bhalla,BN Sharma,Rana Ranbir,Anita Hassanandani,Yuvika Chaudhary and Ranjan Sehgal.
