BJP leader Kirron Kher attacked Chandigarh BJP candidate Sanjay Tandon and his team, alleging that at many party functions, she did not even get an invitation and that she was ignored by individuals here, not by the party.
However, Kher said that she would be very happy if they won. “I don’t know now how much they canvassed. At many places, we didn’t even get to know if a function is taking place or not,” Kher said after casting her vote here.
Asked BJP leaders’ statement that “Kirron Kher is very much with us” but she wasn’t seen much in functions, Kher said, “I am very much with the BJP, but at several functions, we didn’t even get the message that you come…whenever I got the message I visited.”

Kher was seen only when national leaders campaigned for BJP candidate Sanjay Tandon.
On her being ignored during the campaign due to “internal bickering”, she said, “BJP didn’t ignore me, but individuals did it. Differences within the party were quite evident since the beginning, which was the reason that the central leadership had sent me here to contest. But I feel when it comes to voting everyone is together.”
Asked about her party leaders saying that “she doesn’t stay in Chandigarh”, Kher said, “Had I not been staying here how would I have participated in all those events, attended several meetings and public events? I don’t have any jhadu ki chadi that I travel quickly from one place to another.”
Asked if she would take responsibility for the result here, she shot back, “Why would I ?”
