Deceased doctors family demand wifes arrest
Family members of Naraingarh civil hospital doctor Paramjit Singh,who committed suicide,held a hunger strike in front of the police station,demanding arrest of his wife on Tuesday. The deceased doctor,in his suicide note,had held his wife responsible for his death but the police have not yet arrested the woman. A case of abetment of suicide has been registered against her.
Two arrested under Excise Act by PCR
Two persons were arrested from Industrial Area Phase II with huge haul of illegal liquor. A case of Excise Act has been registered against Upkar Singh and Raju,both residents of Ambala.
The PCR van nabbed a car near PRTC workshop late last night and recovered 42 boxes of country wine make Santra Rasilla,1 box of AC Black,1 box of Bagpiper,three boxes of Aristocrat and two boxes of Officers Choice from the car.

Two die in mishap
Two scooterists were killed when a tanker hit a scooter on the Ropar-Nangal road,near local Railway station on Tuesday. The scooterists were identified as Mohan Singh and Jaswinder Kaur of Gandhon village. Both of them died on the spot. A case has been registered against the tanker driver,who absconded after the accident.
