(redit: Facebook/Harpreet Kaur Babla)In a first, the Municipal Corporation of Chandigarh will hold its General House meeting at 11 am on Monday in the Assembly Hall, 5th Floor, MCC Building, Sector 17, Chandigarh.
Mayor Harpreet Babla said, “I express my deepest gratitude to the Punjab Governor and UT Administrator, Gulab Chand Kataria, for the momentous decision to telecast live and introduce e-proceedings for the MC House meetings. This is an extraordinary step towards achieving total transparency and accountability in the Municipal Corporation’s functioning.”
She added, “Allowing the public to view the proceedings live will empower citizens and strengthen democratic values by ensuring every debate and decision is in the public domain. This initiative truly modernises the MC House and reaffirms our commitment to the people of Chandigarh.”
According to the civic body, “Citizens are informed that the proceedings of the meeting will be available online for public viewing through the official YouTube channel at https://youtube.com/@mcchandigarh.si=WZqZM3Om4LnLJRd5.”
