IIM Rohtak holds first convocation

The first convocation of Indian Institute of Management at Rohtak,was held on Saturday at the Maharishi Dayanand University.

The first convocation of Indian Institute of Management at Rohtak,was held on Saturday at the Maharishi Dayanand University. President of the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) and vice-chairman,Tata Steel B Muthuraman was the chief guest for the ceremony. The other dignitaries to grace the occasion included Ravi Kant,vice-chairman,Tata Motors and chairman,IIM Rohtak Board of Governors,and members of the Board of Governors of the institute. A large number of dignitaries from the local administration and parents of the graduating students also attended the event.

The convocation process took place in a festive mood after the first passing-out batch achieved 100 per cent placement,with an average salary of Rs 12.22 lakh. The academic procession started with the Chairman’s address. This was followed by the welcome address and report presentation by Director of the institute Prof P Rameshan.
