Had he not been an actor,he would’ve been a pilot. In any case,Purab Kohli is flying high. After taking off with veejaying, trying out the tube,Purab’s now marking his territory in Bollywood. And he’s got quite a list to flaunt – from My Brother Nikhil,Rock On,Awarapan to 13th Floor and Woh Lamhe,Purab’s on cloud nine, and these days,he’s busy promoting his next film,‘Yeh Mera India’. “It’s an N Chandra film which deals with all sorts of biases – racial, communal, caste, class, gender, lingual and immigrants….all the ills that plague today’s society. And the outcome is startling for it’s the human ability to redeem at any given moment, and in the process reveals that behind every bad news there is good news,” Purab talks about the story of one day in the life of 12 people from different stratas of Mumbai city.

Chandra always manages to stun his audience, will YMI succeed too? “Certainly yes,the making of the film will influence mind of people and force them to think about the ugly side of social conditions prevailing in the society,” feels Purab who plays the role of a filthy rich guy who is in love with Smilie Suri’s character. “When the script was narrated to all of us,we knew that the film stars around 12-13 characters and that’s the need of the subject. Everyone has a part to perform, and it holds its significance. I personally am very happy in the kind of work that was assigned to me and its outcome.” Well,it al depends on Friday Box Office!
