Hookah bar raided,owner claims no nicotine

Panchkula Food and Drugs Authority department raided a restaurant,on Wednesday,that was serving hookah in Sector 8,Panchkula.

The Panchkula Food and Drugs Authority department raided a restaurant,on Wednesday,that was serving hookah in Sector 8,Panchkula. The officials also collected samples of the tobacco that was being served. However,no case was registered against the owner after he claimed that the products being served did not contain nicotine.

The owners of Mocha,claimed that they were serving herbal hookah which did not contain any nicotine. Nevertheless we have collected samples and send it to a laboratory for testing. If it is found that the products being served to the visitors had nicotine,we will register a case, said Panchkula Drug Control Officer Pooja Chaudhary,who led the raid.
