Help tries to kill self,booked

Rani (19),a domestic help, allegedly tried to commit suicide in Sector 33,Chandigarh,on Monday.

Rani (19),a domestic help, allegedly tried to commit suicide in Sector 33,Chandigarh,on Monday. The victim who works as a housemaid,is a resident of colony number 5.

According to the police she was reprimanded by her employee for excessive use of telephone. Ranis employee called her brother with whom she had a heated argument.

Rani then consumed some poisonous substance and began noticed vomiting. She was rushed to the Government Medical College and Hospital in Sector 32 by her employers where her condition is stated to be critical.

The police have registered a case of suicide attempt under Section 309 of Indian Penal Code (IPC) at the Sector 34 Police Station.
