A 1993-batch officer, Umashankar has been promoted to the chief secretary’s grade (level 17 in the pay matrix). The government has given proforma promotion to three other IAS officers of the batch to the same grade. They are Deepti Umashankar, Sukriti Likhi and Neerja Sekhar, who are currently on central deputation. Proforma promotion is given to officers working outside their cadres.
Three IAS officers of the 2008 batch—Anshaj Singh, Rajiv Rattan and Rippudaman Singh Dhillon—have been given the super-time scale (level 14 in the pay matrix). Another officer of the same batch, Nikhil Gajraj, has been given proforma promotion (level 14 in the pay matrix).
Ten IAS officers of the 2011 batch—Aditya Dahiya, Amit Khatri, Mukul Kumar, Naresh Kumar, Anju Chaudhary, Mahavir Kaushik, Yash Pal, Yashendra Singh, Narhari Singh Banger and Pardeep Kumar—have been given the selection grade (level 13 in the pay matrix). The government has given proforma promotion to two IAS officers of the same batch—Vinay Pratap Singh and Vijay Kumar Siddappa Bhavikatti—to the same grade.
Seven IAS officers of the 2015 batch—Rahul Hooda, Mohd Imran Raza, Prashant Panwar, Preeti, Uttam Singh, Neha Singh and Shantanu Sharma—have been promoted to the junior administrative grade (level 12 in the pay matrix).
Six IAS officers of the 2020 batch—Pradeep Singh, Deepak Babulal Karwa, Pankaj, C Jayasharadha, Harshik Kumar and Rahul Modi—have been given the senior-time scale (level 11 in the pay matrix).
