The Board of School Education Haryana (BSEH) declared its Class 10 results on Saturday, with a total of 92.49 per cent students passing, and four students bagging the first rank by scoring 497 out of 500 marks.
While government schools recorded a pass percentage of 89.30 per cent, private schools fared better with a pass percentage of 96.28 per cent.
Among the 22 districts in Haryana, Rewari stood first, Charkhi Dadri second, and Mahendragarh third in terms of overall pass percentage; Nuh district remained the last.
Rohit from Oxford Public Senior Secondary School, Matloda, Hisar; Mahi from New Saraswati Senior Secondary School, Nagla Rajputan, Ambala; and Tanya and Roma from CR Senior Secondary School, Majra Dubaldhan, Jhajjar were the four students who scored the first rank.
Six students, including Panipat’s Akshit Sehrawat, Kaithal’s Yogesh, Panipat’s Rinku, Rohtak’s Divyanshi and Deeksha and Hisar’s Sunaina, scored the second rank, getting 496 out of 500 marks.
The third rank was shared by Nidhi from Jind, Mansi from Rohtak, Rama and Akshita from Charkhi Dadri, Garvita and Khushboo from Hisar, Khushi from Rewari, Megha from Bhiwani, Jeena Chauhan from Karnal, and Ishu from Jhajjar. These students scored 495 out of 500 marks.
Declaring the results and giving an analysis in a media briefing, board chairman Pawan Kumar Sharma said, “A total of 2,71,499 students appeared in Class 10 Haryana School Education Board’s examination. Of these, 2,51,110 passed and 5,737 students got Essential Repeat (ER) and will have to take a re-examination. Out of the total students, 1,29,249 girl students appeared of whom 1,21,566 passed (94.06 per cent); while 1,42,250 boy students appeared of whom 1,29,544 passed (91.07 per cent). The girl students’ pass percentage was 2.99 per cent more than the boys.
The Class 10 examination was held across Haryana from February 28 to March 19.
