In the month of may alone,the Government Railway Police (GRP) in Punjab has registered 92 cases and arrested 89 criminals,said ADGP (Railways) Raj Pal Meena on Monday. Soon,the GRP also intends to launch a special drive against drug peddlers and anti-social elements. In May,the GRP has made several recoveries under the NDPS Act,including opiumm,charas and illicit liquor. Stolen property worth Rs 38,050 has also been recovered. Besides,two blind murder cases registered have been solved," said Meena. He added: Strict vigil is being kept on pick-pocketers,drug peddlers and bootleggers operating on raliway platforms and trains.
