The Government College of Commerce and Business Administration is the only college in Chandigarh that deals exclusively with the streams of commerce and management.

The Government College of Commerce and Business Administration (GCCBA) is the only college in Chandigarh that deals exclusively with the streams of commerce and management. Approval to start the college was granted by General (Retired) S F Rodrigues,the then Governor of Punjab,and Administrator,UT Chandigarh in September 2006. After grant of affiliation by Panjab University,the first academic session (2007-08) commenced with 185 students. Presently there are 576 students on the rolls. The college offers B Com and BBA courses.

Computer Laboratory

The college has a state-of-the-art computer lab consisting of 20 computers along with one server and LAN connection throughout the college and is accessible to staff and students. The administrative office,principals office,staff room,and library also have Internet facility and the Wi-Fi capability.

Library

The library has a modern open-shelf system catering to the information needs of the students and the faculty of the college. Textbooks,reference books,general books,journals/periodicals and non-book materials like DVDs,CDs,are acquired regularly. Total collection of books is 2113,while it subscribes to 25 magazines and thirteen newspapers.

Placement &career guidance

Various activities and events were organised by the career guidance and placement cell. In 2010-11,four Students were selected by HCL,six by Wipro and one in JW Marriott.
