Good things come in small packages,and the next to come in the nano fold is jewellery. Tanishq today unveiled the world’s smallest Bhagwad Gita. Customised on one sq cm pendant with entire 18 chapters of Gita inscribed in 24K gold,”The pendant can be seen under a 20X microscope and can be read under a 200X microscope,” Mayank Kampani,Regional Business Executive,Tanishq,tells us that the product is designed using Nano technology by Prof Pawan Sinha from Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT),USA. “He created the Bhagwad Gita tablet and got the technology patented. Interestingly,Prof Sinha also holds a Limca Book of Records for creating the smallest Bible (1/4th cm sq tablet),” Kampani adds that the pendant is not only spiritual but also for a nobel cause. “Prof Sinha is the co-founder of Project Prakash,an NGO which helps in correcting congenital cataract in children,and so a certain portion of the proceeds from the sale of this pendant will be donated towards the project,” Kampani is hopeful of being able to help. Designed in a contemporary fashion on a square piece,it also has Om inscribed on it. “And keeping in mind the nobel cause is brought on the occasion of Akshaya Trithiya,” he signs off.
