GMSH lacked sanitary material in second half of 2014-15: Audit report
The list of items as mentioned in the audit report are phenyl, Gel Magic (insecticide), room freshener and rat killer.

The current audit and inspection report has highlighted the non-availability of cleaning/sanitary material in the Government Multi-Speciality Hospital, Sector 16, during the second half of the financial year 2014-15.
Every year, authorities of the hospital purchase sanitary/cleaning material by collecting requirements from different departments and dispensaries.
The audit has mentioned, “The scrutiny of the records of the store revealed that the department had procured the sanitary material during the year 2014-15, but the requirements of the department/wards were not assessed properly.”
The list of items as mentioned in the audit report are phenyl, Gel Magic (insecticide), room freshener and rat killer.
The audit has pointed out that although the hospital is infested with rats, which might cause infections among indoor patients, rat killers were not procured during the year.
In their reply, the department has stated that the sanitary material was issued in advance to different wards for the whole year and there was shortage only for one month, which was met by the hospital.
However, the hospital has produced no documents to validate the same.
