Four cases of theft reported in three days

Four cases of thefts were reported from various parts of the city during the last week.

Four cases of thefts were reported from various parts of the city during the last week. Raj Kumar Bhatia,owner of Bhatia Confectioners in Sector 19,reported that someone had stolen Rs 1.5 lakh in cash,15 kilograms of pure Ghee and 30 kilograms of dry fruits from his shop. The thieves reportedly entered the shop through the back on the intervening night of January 8 and 9.

In a separate incident,Harbans Singh,senior manager of Star Security Service,Sector 17,reported that someone had stolen over Rs 50,000 in cash and a laptop from Shop-Cum-Office No 35-36,between January 7-9. Thieves also targeted another shop,this time in Sector 20,and stole a computer printer after breaking the lock on the intervening night of January 8 and 9.

In yet another incident a Panchkula resident,Gourav Prashar,complained to the police that someone had stolen his laptop from PunBus at New Delhi Counter,ISBT-17,on Saturday. A Qualis was also reported to be stolen from a house in Maloya on the intervening night of January 1/2.
