Is Indian fashion popular abroad? That’s the question Idea Weavers is trying to find answers for. The event management company will be flagging off the five-day Indian Premier London Fashion Week on May 7,at the Bloomsbury Ballroom in London . Unfurling the brocades to the Indian diaspora would be 30 Indian designers,including fashion heavyweights Narendra Kumar and Rina Dhaka. Other designers include Neeta Lulla,Rocky S and Gayatri Khanna. While the company maintains they have a formidable list of buyers,the aim is also to tap the burgeoning NRI population. “There is a huge demand amongst the Indian community for designer wears which would be addressed with this week where we would showcase quality Indian designs,” says Raksha Agarwal,production manager,Idea Weavers. The fashion week is expected to have 18 shows.
