Double delight for Digvijay

It was a day of double delight for Digvijay Singh as he claimed the boys' Under 10 as well as Under-12 title on the concluding day of the Mount Carmel Tennis Tournament played at Mount Carmel School,Sector 47.

It was a day of double delight for Digvijay Singh as he claimed the boys’ Under 10 as well as Under-12 title on the concluding day of the Mount Carmel Tennis Tournament played at Mount Carmel School,Sector 47. In the boys’ Under-10 final,Digvijay Singh ended the challenge of Rishabh Sharda with a 3-6,6-2,6-4 win. Singh lost the first set with a margin of 3-6 but soon gained momentum as he claimed the second set easily with a margin of 6-2. Singh then won the third and final set with a margin of 6-4 to claim his first title of the day.

Singh then claimed the boys’ Under-12 singles title by defeating Rishabh Sharda easily with a margin of 6-2,6-1. Sharda seemed tired after the gruelling Under-10 final as he lost the first set with a margin of 6-2. Singh ended the proceedings in the two sets as he claimed the second set with a margin of 6-1.

In the boys’ Under-14 final,Rahul Seth ended the challenge of Dhruv with a 4-2,4-2 win. Rahul claimed the first set with a margin of 4-2 while he claimed the second set with an identical margin. In the girls’ Under-12 final,Nehmat Aulakh ended the challenge of Karishma Mehta with a tough 5-4 (9-7),5-3 win.
