Day 2 of BCom admissions: Seats full at DAV College,GGDSD-32 MCMDAV and PGGCG-11

The second day of counselling of Bachelor of Commerce (B Com) for UT pool 85 per cent quota witnessed a huge response.

The second day of counselling of Bachelor of Commerce (B Com) for UT pool 85 per cent quota witnessed a huge response. Out of 11 colleges,all the seats at four colleges including DAV College,Sector 10,GGDSD College,Sector 32,MCM DAV College,Sector 36 and Post Graduate Government College for Girls (PGGCG),Sector 11 got filled immediately.

According to the official information,co-education colleges including SD College-32 and DAV College-10 remained the first choice among the students. Among the girls students,PGGCG-11 and MCM-36 were the first and second choice.

However,Dev Samaj College for Women,Sector 45 had no takers and all the seats remained vacant. Even GGS College for Women,Sector 26 and SGGS College,Sector 26 witnessed dismal responses. At the latter college,out of 87 seats,only one got filled and the former college too got one student while the number of available seats is 171.

Similarly,at PGGCG,Sector 42 and PGGC,Sector 11,just nine seats and 37 seats got filled out of a total of 87 seats at each college.

The Government College of Commerce and Business Administration,Sector 42,got 68 seats filled out of a total of 87 seats. The varsity has asked the UT (85 per cent quota) students having ranks of up to 2,200 to attend the counselling on July 14 at noon in the universitys Law Auditorium.

Students with rank 451 to 1,200 in the general pool (15 per cent) can attend the counselling on July 15 at 1 pm. The PU authorities have advised the students to check the website regularly- b.com admissions.puchd.ac.in

The counselling for reserved categories will be held on July 14 at 2 pm from 1 to 250 rank holders and at 4 pm the counselling will include students with rank 251 onwards.
