A two-day conference on recent advances in chemical and environmental sciences concluded at Multani Mal Modi College,Patiala on Sunday. A number of speakers,including Jagtar Singh,Aruna Bhatia,Baldev Singh and Parvin Pal Balgir among others,spoke on the occasion. Abhijit Mukherjee,director,Thapar University and R and D Centre,presided over the valedictory function. Ravi Kumar,a lecturer from Dyal Singh College,Karnal,was awarded Dr Lata Memorial Young Scientist Award and Hemant and Harsh from NIT,Jalandhar,bagged Bhajan Lal Arora Memorial Award.
