Cold wave conditions: Haryana extends winter vacation till Jan 18 for students up to Class 3

Amid the ongoing cold wave, the Haryana government has decided to extend the winter vacations till January 18 for students up to Class 3.

A decision regarding the remaining classes will be taken by the deputy commissioners concerned later.

The government had earlier declared winter vacations from January 1 to January 15.

Official sources told The Indian Express that the state school education minister Kanwar Pal Gurjar has issued directions to senior officers of the school education department. A formal order regarding the extension will be issued on Monday, added the officials.
