City lad brings laurels,clears AIIMS PMT

Jatin Aggrawal brought laurels to the city by being the only student from Chandigarh to clear the AIIMS PMT, results of which were declared on Wednesday.

Jatin Aggrawal brought laurels to the city by being the only student from Chandigarh to clear the AIIMS PMT, results of which were declared on Wednesday. Jatin,a student of Government Model Senior Secondary School,Sector 35 has cleared the examination in his first attempt.

Son of a banker father and mother who is a teacher,Jatin has been a bright student throughout. He had scored 92 per cent in Class XII examinations held this year. Fond of basketball and music,Jatin attributes his success to hard work and God.

“I used to study for close to 10 hours and in spite of so much of competition,never lost faith in myself or God. My parents have been my biggest strength and I am thankful to them for providing me the much-needed support all these years,” he says.

Jatin has also cleared other PMT examinations,like the AFMS and had got third rank in the Chandigarh CET held this year. His parents,who too are beaming in the success of their child,say that they could see it coming.

“He was focused and has worked very hard for it. We are glad that his efforts have finally been rewarded,” said his mother.

For future aspirants,Jatin also has some word of advice to offer. “Focused and consistent studying always works. Also,one should be confident of sailing through the pressure and the competition,” says Jatin.

Meanwhile,Amit Gupta and Mandeep Singh are the other students from the region to clear the examination.
