Girl kidnapped from hospital

CHANDIGARH: High drama was seen on Tuesday morning after the local residents made an outcry alleging kidnap of a girl near Dr. Harvansh Singh Judge Institute of Dental Sciences and Hospital,Panjab University. According to the police,a person named Punkerdeep asked the girl,Tanya,to sit in his car near hospital. The girl refused but Punkerdeep forcibly pulled Tanya inside his car and sped away.

Man held with charas

CHANDIGARH: A 32-year-old resident of Indira Colony was arrested by Chandigarh Police allegedly with 1 kg charas. Karamvir,was arrested at around 6 pm on Tuesday near Indira Colony flats,after being frisked on suspicion. Police informed that he has been arrested in the past also. The accused is also under trial in a 2011 case for carrying 450 grams of charas in his possession.

Man held for beating neighbour

Chandigarh: Police arrested,Sidhu,a resident of Colony No. 4 on a complaint of beating by her neighbour on Monday. Accused had personal enmity with the victim and he beat her when she was alone at her residence police said. A case has been registered against the accused. ENS
