Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) constable Kulwinder Kaur, who was suspended after she allegedly slapped BJP MP Kangana Ranaut at the Chandigarh airport last month, has been transferred to Bengaluru.
According to sources, Kulwinder Kaur remains under suspension and she has been transferred to a reserve battalion of CISF in Bengaluru.
CISF suspended Kulwinder Kaur after the incident on June 6 at the Shaheed Bhagat Singh International Airport and launched an internal inquiry against her. A case of assault was also registered against Kaur at the Airport Police Station after the incident.
Kaur allegedly slapped Kangana Ranaut in the security hold area when the Kangra MP was going to board a flight to Delhi from the airport on June 6. After the incident, Kulwinder Kaur alleged she was angry at Kangana over her statements on farmers during the farmers’ protest against the now-scrapped farm laws.
In a video message after the incident, Kangana Ranaut said she was hit by the constable. She also gave a controversial statement on Punjab’s law and order which was condemned by the major political parties in the state.
