The FIR was registered on Tuesday under multiple sections of the Bhartiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS), for the murder of a youth, Raman, and a deadly assault on another youth, Tushar — both residents of Ramdarbar.

The Chandigarh Police has arrested three teenagers for their alleged involvement in a murder case in Ramdarbar, Chandigarh. This is the third murder in Chandigarh in about 51 hours, with the first incident happening at around 10:30 pm on Saturday.
The accused — Roshan Bhaiya, resident of Mubarakpur; Ravi and Arun Kumar, both residents of Phase-2, Ramdarbar, Chandigarh — have been arrested by the police.
The FIR was registered on Tuesday under multiple sections of the Bhartiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS), for the murder of a youth, Raman, and a deadly assault on another youth, Tushar — both residents of Ramdarbar. The case was registered on the statement of Gulab, father of Tushar.
According to the complainant, the incident occurred around 1.30 am on Tuesday, when Tushar and his friend Raman were sitting in Hathi Park, Ramdarbar.
A group led by the accused — Roshan (19), Ravi (18), and Arun (18), along with 4-5 others — started an argument with the two youths. When Tushar and Raman tried to escape on a motorcycle, they were chased down by the attackers who were armed with swords and sharp-edged weapons. The bike skidded at Ramdarbar, where the attackers caught up and launched a violent assault, the complainant added.
Raman was repeatedly attacked with sharp weapons and was declared dead on arrival at the GMCH-32, according to the complaint. Tushar, who sustained serious injuries, is currently undergoing treatment.
According to the police, Ravi has a previous criminal record, while Roshan and Arun have no prior criminal involvement. The police are also identifying other individuals involved in the attack.
Meanwhile, no weapons have been recovered yet, and further investigation is underway to trace the remaining accused and recover the murder weapons.
Police said they will produce the accused before the court on July 9, where the former will seek remand for further investigation into the case.
