Chandigarh Territorial Congress Committee (CTCC) has given a representation regarding issues related to various villages in the city,to local MP Pawan Kumar Bansal on Wednesday.

Ex-General Secretary Bhupinder Singh Badheri said that after the merger of Burail,Badheri,Buttrela, and Attawa in the municipal corporation (MC) area in the first phase, and merger of Kajehri,Hallomajra,Maloya,Dadumajra and Palsora in the second phase, all the villages have been ignored as the people residing in these villages are facing acute problems of basic civic amenities.

The members of CCTC also complained that the agricultural land of the villages has been allegedly acquired

by Chandigarh Administration,leaving inadequate

land for farming.

The members,in their representation have requested the MP to bring to the notice of the Prime Minister, when he visits the city on September 14,the various issues and demands raised by the committee and ensure that the policies introduced by the government are always oriented towards the welfare of the people.
