Alliance Francaise is all set to play an entertaining animation film titled Le Chat du Rabbin (The Rabbis Cat) at Café Theatre de lAF today. The 100-minute film with English subtitles is based on the bestselling graphic novel of the same name by Joann Sfar. It tells the story of a rabbi and his talking cat,set in Algeria in the 30s. A cat belonging to a widowed rabbi and his beautiful daughter,Zlabya,eats the family parrot and miraculously gains the ability to speak. Along with the power of speech comes unparalleled sardonic wit,and the cat spares no one. The screening will be held at Alliance Francaise,Sector 36,Chandigarh.
