Haryana Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda said the state Cabinet will be expanded,in consultation with the Congress high command,after the byelection to the Ellenabad Assembly Constituency. On Monday,the Chief Minister was in Ambala at the residence of president of the Haryana Pradesh Congress Committee,Phool Chand Mullana. When asked about developments in the power sector,he said several projects initiated by the government were now in the last stages of completion. Both the 300-MW units at Sir Chhotu Ram Thermal Power Plant,Yamunanagar,have already started functioning. The power project at Jharli will also commence generation soon. In the next two years,not only will Haryana become self-sufficient in terms of power generation,but will also be able to supply electricity to other states.
