Interacting with the people in Umri village of Kurukshetra district as part of his ongoing Jan Samvad programme, Haryana CM Manohar Lal Khattar asked the people to bring an issue to him and he would definitely solve it.

Upon arrival in Umri village on Friday, Khattar first offered prayers at the ancient Shiva temple and then distributed wheelchairs and hearing aids provided by the Red Cross to four persons. During the Samvad, while responding to the demand raised regarding the stoppage of long-route buses at Umri Chowk, Khattar directed General Manager, Haryana Roadways to maintain a dedicated register at Umri Chowk so that the commuters who commute daily can enter their journey details and accordingly arrangements to facilitate stops for long route buses can be made.

“Over 16,000 written demands and grievances have been received in the Jan Samvad, of which work related to 2,600 has been completed. Work on 11,000 is going on and 2500 applications are in the final stage. Enhancing quality of lives of citizens by minimizing inconvenience is the government’s top priority. To achieve this, significant IT reforms have been brought by the state government.

Ensuring the effective delivery of these initiatives to the people by resolving challenges has been the utmost priority of the present state government. I would like to urge everybody to bring any issue before me and I assure that I shall resolve all such issues,” Khattar said, adding that a community building will be constructed on 2 acres in Umri.

About the opposition’s persistent attack on the issue of Common Eligibility Test for government jobs being conducted by the Haryana Staff Selection Commission, Khattar said, “The responsibility for setting the exam questions lies with the paper-setting agency, not the government. Government jobs have been secured by 1.10 lakh individuals thus far, and plans are in place for an additional 30,000 Group C recruitments within the next three months”. Khattar added that the Haryana Police has carried out the recruitment of approximately 6600 constables. Although the majority of these individuals have already completed the joining process, the recruitment of 2000 candidates was challenged in court.

Khattar added that plans are place for an additional 30,000 group C recruitments within the next three months adding as many as 1.10 lakh people have already secured government jobs during his government. The CM also highlighted the implementation of online transfer policies for teachers and the introduction of an online system to enhance citizens’ convenience.

Meanwhile, Khattar will interact with beneficiaries of PM Awas Yojana through an audio conference, Saturday. During this, the CM will also take feedback from the beneficiaries regarding their experiences and any challenges they may have faced in availing the benefits of the scheme.
