FIR against Cong leader Jalandhar: An FIR has been lodged against Congress leader Seth Satpal Mahal,while notices were served to the district presidents of SAD-BJP,BSP,BJP Yuva Morcha and Congress. The notices were served on the basis of a Video Surveillance Team report,where Returning Officer Iqbal Singh Sandhu had alleged that though posters of parties were removed from the city,these reappeared on Wednesday. Show cause notice has also been issued to the circle education officer in Jalandhar in whose complex hoarding were put up with photos of SAD leaders. Another Akali leader resigns Patiala: Former parliamentary secretary Surinder Singh on Wednesday resigned from SAD. He was upset with the Akali Dal after it decided to give a ticket to Gobind Singh Longowal from Dhuri.
