‘BJP councillors are puppets’

Mayor Subhash Chawla on Thursday said the BJP councillors are puppets of the party office Kamlam in Sector 33. He alleged that the policy of the party for the upcoming polls was to tell lies. Chawla further went on to say that it was at the insistence of local MP Pawan Kumar Bansal that he let a discussion on the rail bribery scam take place in the House.

Chawla said that two previous House meetings were disrupted by the BJP over these issues. “With an eye on the Parliamentary elections,the BJP was raking these issues. The party is not letting development take place in the city,” he said.

He said that the BJP is pointing fingers at the UPA chief (Sonia Gandhi) who has been named the third most powerful woman. If the Congress councillors want they can also make allegations against their BJP leaders,he added.
